Not exactly a burn as much as a giant middle finger, but Republican candidate Donald Trump refused to take the pledge to not run a campaign against whoever gets the Republican nomination. The only way, he said, he wouldn't run against the Republican nominee were if he himself won the nomination.
Not so much of a burn as an embarrassing moment for Scott Walker. Seems that he can't differentiate between a country that is our ally and an entire region that, for the most part, has been the enemy of the United States. He said, "You look at Egypt? Probably the best relationship we’ve had in Israel, at least in my lifetime."
The two presidential candidates Chris Christie and Rand Paul got into quite an intense scuffle on TV. Christie supports NSA bulk data collection, but Paul opposes this. Rand Paul looks Christie directly in the face and says “you fundamentally misunderstand the Bill of Rights." Enough to make everyone watching utter an impressed "daaaamn..."
Interestingly, not only you missed this burn, but everyone else in the world did as well. Jeb Bush was offered to expand upon calling Donald Trump “a clown, a buffoon, something else that cannot be repeated on television”, but he respectfully turned down the opportunity, which was met with appreciation from Trump.
Trump replying to a comment on his record of donating to democratic political candidates. He says, “when [I] give, they do whatever the hell [I] tell them to do”. Yet another example of Trump making ripples in the GOP debate.
Sometimes the best burns don't have to be said out loud. Senator Rand Paul and Governor Chris Christie engaged in a fiery debate on stage that developed into a battle of words and deflection. Eventually, Senator Paul grew tired of Christie's ramblings, and decides to ignore him and even rolls his eyes at the Governor's comments.
